About Us
Our Story
Barrow Contractor Digs is a small, family-run accommodation business based right here in Barrow-in-Furness.
We started providing accommodation for contractors after seeing first-hand how difficult it could be to find somewhere comfortable, affordable and flexible when working away from home.
Since then, we’ve grown to offer a range of rooms across Barrow, from comfortable rooms with shared facilities through to private en-suite rooms. Our focus has stayed the same: clean, comfortable accommodation, straightforward prices and the flexibility that contractors actually need.
We’re local, we manage the properties ourselves, and if you need something, you’re dealing directly with us — not a call centre or a faceless booking company.

Staying with us? Come and say hello.
Working away from home doesn’t have to mean spending every evening sitting in your room.
We also run the White Lion, our community pub here in Barrow.
If you’re staying with us, you’re always welcome to pop in for a pint, a game of pool or darts,
join one of our events, or simply get out of the house for a couple of hours.
It’s the kind of pub we’d want to find ourselves when working away — friendly, relaxed and somewhere you don’t need to know anyone to walk through the door.
